Selysiothemis nigra

Selysiothemis nigra. (Vander Linden, 1825). Black Pennant.

A small, dark inconspicuous dragonfly with a disproportionately large head with

broadwings. More common in Asia and the Middle East, it can be observed usually

near the coast, throughout southern Europe in small isolated locations.

Unexpectedly foundin the northwest Peloponnese, suggests it could be

more widespead than is presently known.
