Ophrys omegaifera ssp. fleischmannii.

A rare taxon considered an endemic from Crete it has occurred on other

Cycladic islands. A small plant with white, wide omega shape. Brown, long petals

pointing back and upwards. The lower lip has thick characteristic white hairs.

  1. Nice shot, Terry! I like the color range of the flower, ranging from deep purple (not talking about the band for a change) to white. Great find!

    1. Thanks Robert. Apparently common in Crete, it was the only one found in a week hunting for orchids!
