Dactylorhriza sambucina.

A robust and thick stemned plant with unspotted leaves.

Found throughout mainland Greece and the highest mountains of the

Peloponnese, in open meadows up to 2300 meters, appearing soon after melted snow.

Flowers have two colour vars on short stems with thick green cauline leaves. Examples

 from an area of short grassland were found at sea level in Gotland, Sweden.
