Platycnemis pennipes.  (Pallas, 1771).  Blue Featherleg.

With its wide head and distinctive white legs this is a common species found

throughout Europe, except Spain, which has a very pale species. This subspecies

is found in the Balkans, northern Greece and the Peloponnese. The antehumeral

stripes are pale yellow in both sexes, with the female abdomen cream.
