Ischnura elegans

Ischnura elegans.  (Vander Linden, 1820).  Common Bluetail.

A common and widespread species with a variety of colours in the eyes and thorax.

Antehumeral strips and a bi-shaded pterostigma are however, consistent features.

Similar to I. pumilio which is a smaller bluetail and very similar markings.
