Lestes barbarus

Lestes bararus.  (Fabricius, 1798).  Migrant Spreadwing.

Found throughout most of Europe and extending into Asia. It is slightly larger than most Lestes,

 with distinctive feathered legs and bicoloured pterostigma. Antehumeral stripes are prominent

on the thorax, with the abdomen in both sexes pale green with cream bars.
